Our client, a well-established travel business, is actively seeking Travel Specialists to join their team. Specialising in crafting unique, dynamically packaged long-haul holidays, they are in search of passionate individuals with a deep love for travel and a commitment to exceeding customer expectations.

Travel Consultant- what will I be doing?

  • You will be tailor making unique holidays to mainly the USA and Southeast Asia, but their destinations are worldwide.
  • Using in-depth knowledge to create bespoke long-haul travel packages.
  • Paying meticulous attention to every detail to ensure customer satisfaction exceeds expectations.
  • Engaging with customers directly through various channels such as emails, incoming calls, and new web enquiries.
  • Building and maintaining strong customer relationships through effective communication.
  • Working towards achieving sales targets by leveraging excellent communication skills.
  • Encouraging repeat business by delivering outstanding customer service.

Travel Consultant - What experienced do I need?

  • Proven sales experience in the travel industry is essential, preferably in creating high-quality, tailor-made travel itineraries in a dynamic packaging environment.
  • Background in a long-haul tour operator or travel agency is highly desirable.
  • You will enjoy working to targets and have exceptional organisational ability and be adept at multitasking.
  • Proficient in travel technology and other software
  • You will need a dedicated home office space equipped with a reliable internet connection.

Travel Consultant - What else do I need to know?

They have a flexible work arrangement where you can work from home from anywhere in the UK or at the office or hybrid (office based in Hertfordshire)

You will be working 37.5 hours a week across a variety of shifts to include some evenings until 8pm and at weekends they are open 10 - 4. One guaranteed full weekend off every month. Part-time positions are available. There is some flexibility on how the hours can work for you so please enquire.

The salary is between £26k -£30k depending on experience and the commission scheme is very generous - if you are working to target you will be earning c£46k or more. The phones are ringing off the hook - they are super busy and want to grow this team. The environment is friendly and dynamic - ambitious and supportive. They take employees well being very seriously and as well as 21 days holiday staff are given 6 extra well being days a year ??
