Your new role:

You will be building the Treasury function from scratch, by working closely with the CFO and wider finance team.

  • Working closely with the business to minimise financial risk
  • Driving treasury-specific projects/initiatives across the region
  • Monitoring and managing the organisation's bank relationships and liquidity management
  • Managing foreign currency exposure and foreign currency payments
  • Analysing various scenarios and risks and reporting to senior management
  • Forecasting of medium and long-term funding and hedging requirements
  • Daily cash management
  • Debt facilities management
  • Interest rate risk management and development of risk mitigation strategies
  • Foreign exchange risk management and development of foreign exchange risk mitigation strategies
  • Preparing management and board reports
  • Liaising with senior management across the organisation
  • Supporting the month-end process where necessary


What you'll need to succeed:

  • Must be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or Qualified Treasury Professional (AMCT)
  • Experience (10+ years) managing a Treasury Function within an international (re)insurance company
  • Understanding and experience of treasury accounting including FX, liquidity, cashflow and various financial instruments
  • Expertise in front office treasury functions
  • Sound understanding of accounting principles
  • Strong understanding of financial markets, financial instruments and debt instruments
  • Knowledge of banking relationships and covenants
  • Ability to work autonomously and be part of the broader team
  • Appropriate handling of sensitive information
  • Excellent time management and organisational ability
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Strong client relationship management and customer service skills
  • Team player with the ability to communicate and coordinate with multiple parties
  • Intermediate to advanced computer software skills, including Excel and other accounting packages
  • SAP experience is a plus
  • Experience in Lloyds Trust Fund regulations is a plus
