Finance Partner

Salary: up to £38,000
Location: Middlesbrough (with occasional travel across Cleveland and North Yorkshire)
Holidays: 27 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays
Hybrid Working: 1-2 days working from home

We are working with an organisation based in Middlesbrough to appoint a proactive and dynamic Finance Partner to join the team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing financial guidance and support offering a unique opportunity to ensure effective financial management, accurate reporting, and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the Senior Finance Business Partner to develop and manage budgets for services within the organisation.
Prepare monthly management accounts, assist in consolidation reporting, and ensure accurate budget presentations within PS Financials.
Support budget holders in effective resource management and financial monitoring.
Produce various monthly reports, reconciliations, and returns including VAT, cash flow, bank, and payroll reconciliations.
Manage debtors and creditors, ensuring adherence to reporting timetables and internal controls.
Support the maintenance of core finance software packages and participate in internal and external audits.

Qualifications and Experience:

A degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (preferred).
Professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA) or working towards qualification.
Proven experience in financial management, budgeting, and reporting within an educational or similar environment.
Strong knowledge of financial regulations, procedures, and software
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and solution-oriented approach.
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to various sites.
