Finance Partner

Salary: up to £38,000
Location: Middlesbrough (with occasional travel across Cleveland and North Yorkshire)
Holidays: 27 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays
Hybrid Working: 1-2 days working from home

We are working with an organisation based in Middlesbrough to appoint a proactive and dynamic Finance Partner to join the team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing financial guidance and support offering a unique opportunity to ensure effective financial management, accurate reporting, and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Senior Finance Business Partner to develop and manage budgets for services within the organisation.
  • Prepare monthly management accounts, assist in consolidation reporting, and ensure accurate budget presentations within PS Financials.
  • Support budget holders in effective resource management and financial monitoring.
  • Produce various monthly reports, reconciliations, and returns including VAT, cash flow, bank, and payroll reconciliations.
  • Manage debtors and creditors, ensuring adherence to reporting timetables and internal controls.
  • Support the maintenance of core finance software packages and participate in internal and external audits.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • A degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (preferred).
  • Professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA) or working towards qualification.
  • Proven experience in financial management, budgeting, and reporting within an educational or similar environment.
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations, procedures, and software 
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and solution-oriented approach.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to various sites.
