Our client, an independent accountancy firm, ranking among the top 40 firms in the UK for Audit, Corporate Tax, and advisory services. With 24 partners and a team of 240 professionals spread across four UK locations, they specialize in delivering personalised, expert solutions in audit, tax, and financial planning globally.

They are currently seeking a dedicated individual to join their Trust Team as a pivotal member, reporting directly to Directors and Partners. This role involves overseeing a diverse portfolio that includes charitable trusts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing a diverse portfolio of UK resident and charitable trusts, ensuring compliance with annual accounts and tax deadlines.
  • Reviewing and providing guidance on team members' work, fostering their professional development through training and mentoring.
  • Providing expert advice on advisory matters, particularly in Inheritance Tax, and handling ad-hoc client needs.
  • Collaborating closely with tax, accounts, and financial planning teams to deliver integrated client solutions.
  • Monitoring budgets, personal chargeability, and ensuring prompt issuance of fee notes.
  • Opportunities for growth exist in areas such as charitable trusts, probate work, and estate accounts.

Systems Used:

  • Experience with CCH Trust Accounts and CCH Personal Tax is advantageous; the firm operates on the CCH Practice Management System

Qualifications/Education:

  • Preferred qualifications include CTA and/or STEP qualification, or a strong commitment to pursuing a STEP qualification.
