Introduction:

Are you passionate about making a meaningful impact in your community? Do you have a talent for crafting compelling narratives and securing funding for vital projects? We are seeking a Trusts Funding Application Officer to join our clients team.

As a Trusts Funding Application Officer, you will work closely with our CEO and fellow team members to secure essential funding for our organization. You will utilise our extensive library of materials to craft persuasive funding applications, ensuring that our initiatives receive the financial support they need to thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the CEO and Trust and Admin team members to produce high-quality funding applications.
  • Utilise existing written material and photos to create compelling funding proposals, tailoring each application to the specific requirements of different trusts and foundations.
  • Prioritise potential trusts based on pre-filtered criteria, ensuring that applications are submitted promptly and in order of importance.
  • Demonstrate exceptional written ability and attention to detail, thoroughly researching each funding opportunity and effectively communicating how our initiatives align with the goals of potential funders.
  • Work collaboratively across teams to share ideas and feedback, avoiding duplication of efforts and maximising our chances of securing funding.
  • Gain a deep understanding of our organisation's work and accurately communicate our mission and impact to potential funders.
  • Liaise with service professionals, including clinical staff, to gather up-to-date service delivery data to support funding applications.
  • Maintain accurate records of work undertaken to prevent missed deadlines and duplication of efforts within the team.

General Responsibilities:

  • Communicate effectively with colleagues, keeping them informed of ongoing work and any issues or opportunities.
  • Act as an ambassador for our organisation, representing us professionally and enthusiastically to potential funders.
  • Ensure adherence to organisational procedures and maintain up-to-date records of meetings, activities, and deadlines associated with your work.
  • Attend and actively participate in department meetings, providing valuable updates and information as required.
  • Provide regular progress updates to line management, keeping them informed of work status and any challenges encountered.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Excellent written communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to craft persuasive narratives.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively and meet deadlines.
  • Collaborative mindset, with the ability to work effectively within a team and share ideas and feedback.
  • Enthusiasm for learning about our organisation's work and effectively communicating our mission to potential funders.
  • Ability to gather and analyse data to support funding applications, including liaising with service professionals to obtain relevant information.
  • Proven ability to work independently and take initiative, while also being able to work collaboratively within a team environment.
