Tube Processing Operator

GEM are working with one of the largest subcontract precision sheet metal fabrication companies in Europe, and a leader in the UK sheet metal fabrication market to recruit Tube Processing Operators for their high-profile facility in Shildon.

Job Description

Working on 2-shift rotation, this person should have experience and knowledge of working on CNC tube laser or CNC flatbed laser machine.

Duties

Must be able to work independently which will include setting of tools, setting of the machine, editing programs and checking parts. Knowledge of working to and understanding engineering drawings is essential in both first and third angle projection. The ability to work unsupervised is required as although in a team of approx. 3 people the individual will be required to work through various jobs without assistance.

Hours of work: 38.5 hours a week

Dayshift - Mon-Thurs 8am:5pm

Friday - 8am- 12:30pm

2 Shift Rotation:

Mon - Thurs 2:30pm - 11:00pm

Friday - 12:30pm - 7:00pm

Mon-Thurs 6:00am - 2:30pm

Friday 6:00am - 12:30pm

Rates of pay: £13.73
