We are seeking a dedicated Tutor to support a Year 10 pupil at Fakenham Library. The tutoring sessions will be spread across three days each week, from 9am to 1pm. This role requires a compassionate individual who can adapt to the learning style of a pupil with ASD, who is eager to learn in a supportive environment.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Conduct tutoring sessions from 9am to 1pm over three days each week.
  • Focus one day on English Language (AQA), foundation level, ensuring the pupil grasps the core concepts and develops strong language skills.
  • Dedicate the other two days to teaching the three separate sciences, providing comprehensive coverage of the curriculum.
  • Adapt teaching methods to suit the learning needs and preferences of the pupil, particularly considering their ASD.
  • Engage the pupil with interactive and personalised learning experiences that foster a positive and productive learning environment.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in tutoring or teaching English and Sciences at the secondary school level.
  • Familiarity with the AQA English Language curriculum at the foundation level.
  • Ability to create and deliver engaging, learner-centred lesson plans.
  • Experience working with students with ASD is highly desirable.
  • Patience, understanding, and a genuine passion for helping students achieve their educational goals.
