Legal Secretary
  • Annual Salary: £25,000
  • Location: Bournemouth

I am seeking a Legal Secretary with excellent typing and communication skills to join a busy criminal team. While legal experience is advantageous, it is not essential, as comprehensive training will be provided. The role involves a variety of tasks within the realm of criminal law, offering an engaging and dynamic work environment.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Audio typing including the preparation of letters, emails, documents, and forms.
  • Recording court hearing dates and managing legal schedules.
  • Operating online systems such as CJSM, LAA Online Portal, Egress, CCDCS (training will be provided).
  • General office duties including filing, administration of files, photocopying, handling post, and other administrative tasks.
  • Engaging with clients both over the phone and in person, providing excellent customer service.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Exceptional audio-typing skills with fast and accurate typing ability.
  • Organised and tidy with the ability to prioritise work effectively.
  • Strong time management skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Confident telephone manner with the capability to interact with a diverse clientele.
  • Positive personality and the ability to thrive in a small office setting.
  • A good sense of humour is always appreciated.
