Interview process: Teams meeting

Location: Remote with event-based travel to client site in London, possibly 2-3 days per month.

Duration: Initial 6 month contract with possibility of extension

Job Description:

A senior interaction designer is an experienced designer who works with minimal support to contribute to delivery of the MAPPS service.

At this role level, you will:

  • be a hands-on member of the interaction design profession that collaboratively contribute to the design delivery of MAPPS
  • work embedded within an agile sprint team to deliver design thought leadership and design solution for your respective features
  • be able to work in a very open, collaborative and supportive environment across professions
  • understand and address design goals, usability and accessibility requirements using iterative design process
  • produce screens and clickable prototypes to test design concepts which takes into account established design patterns and technical and non-technical constraints
  • make important decisions based on research and understand how this research impacts the service
  • finalise screens and screens flow for delivery which aligns with acceptance criteria
  • be a design advocate and communicate well throughout the design cycle from concepts to delivery to ensure high standard of work
  • document learnings and contribute back to shaping consistent design delivery on MAPPS

Tool used:

  • Sketch to create high fidelity wireframes
  • Visio to stitch together screens flow
  • GDS prototype kit to craft clickable prototypes
