We're supporting a business who're undergoing a huge digital transformation in recruiting a skilled Developer with expertise in .NET and Umbraco to. In the role, you'll play a crucial part in designing, developing, and maintaining the company websites and digital platforms. You'll collaborate with the team to ensure a seamless and engaging user experience, while leveraging your expertise in .NET and Umbraco.

The company are a well known, national, business who're looking to build on an excellent reputation by investing in their IT systems and services in order to grow market share. The current programme includes consolidation of their websites, building a uniform platform that will allow them to manage a number of different online brands and mobile application

The Role
Key Responsibilities:

• Application Development: Develop and maintain high-quality, responsive, and user-friendly interfaces for the company websites and digital platforms.
• .NET & Umbraco Expertise: Utilise your in-depth knowledge of .NET and Umbraco to build robust and scalable web applications.
• Pipeline Management: Implement and manage efficient CI/CD pipelines using tools like Azure DevOps, ensuring smooth and reliable deployments.
• Collaboration: Work closely with designers, back-end developers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance of the front-end.
• Performance Optimisation: Optimise front-end code for speed, efficiency, and cross-browser compatibility.
• Testing & Quality Assurance: Thoroughly test front-end code to identify and fix bugs, ensuring a high-quality user experience. Write and maintain unit and integration tests.
• Information Security: Follow best practices for information security to protect sensitive customer data and ensure the security of our web applications.
• Staying Up-to-Date: Keep abreast of the latest trends and best practices in front-end development, .NET, Umbraco, CI/CD pipelines, and information security.

The Person
? Proven Experience: 2+ years of experience as a front-end developer with a strong focus on .NET and Umbraco.
? Expert Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, and Bootstrap
? .NET & Umbraco Proficiency: Demonstrated proficiency in developing web applications using .NET and Umbraco CMS.
? CI/CD Experience: Experience in setting up and managing deployment pipelines using tools like Azure DevOps.
? Security Awareness: Understanding of information security principles and best practices for web development.
? Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges.
? Communication & Collaboration: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members from diverse backgrounds.

Desirable
? Experience with Front-End Technologies: Familiarity with modern front-end frameworks and libraries (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js).
? API Integration: Experience in integrating with RESTful APIs and other back-end services.
? Security Certifications: Certifications related to information security (e.g., CISSP, CEH)

This role is based at the clients head office in Sunderland and candidates will need to be able to visit the office when required, ideally 1-2x per month.
