THE COMPANY: My client is a world-leading University of Science, Technology, Engineering, Medicine & Business.


THE ROLE:

Oversee the work of Undergraduate and Postgraduate Administrators associated with both the Metabolism, Digestion & Reproduction and Brain Sciences Departments of the Faculty of Medicine and report to the Education Manager on progress and outcomes in relation to programmes.

Supervise and provide support to these administrators with the view to streamlining processes in order to improve efficiency and effectiveness, collaborating with the Faculty of Education office as required.

Represent Undergraduate and Postgraduate programmes on relevant committees, acting as an advocate for other administrators as necessary.

Additionally, the post holder will provide administrative support for the BSc Gastroenterology and Hepatology and the MRes in Clinical Research ensuring that comprehensive administrative and management support is provided to ensure the efficient delivery and smooth running of these programmes.

Work closely with the relevant Course teams and Academic team, and establish good working relationships with academic and administrative staff within these Departments, as well as other staff across the Faculty of Medicine (FoM) and College central services.

Establish good working relationships with external academics including external examiners and project supervisors. Be a key point of contact for enquiries from students and staff on both Undergraduate and Postgraduate programmes, working independently to resolve problems and updating the Course teams and Education Manager as required.

Specific duties include: Customer Service, Curriculum Development and Quality Enhancement, Timetabling/Room Booking, Learning Resources, Welfare, Curriculum Administration, Assesments, Financial Management and Continuous improvement

THE PERSON:

Expereince working in Higher Education
Coordinating or supervising other staff including thier professional development 
Servicing committees and minute taking 
Extensive expereince in general administration within a medical or scientific research enviroment 
Virtual Learning Enviroments  (VLE's)
Managing/balancing budgets
