Join a niche team within a leading global broker firm, recognised for delivering unparalleled expertise and tailored solutions. Based in Birmingham city centre, this broker prides itself on a collaborative environment that fosters innovation and professional growth.

They are seeking a skilled and dynamic Underwriter to join a specialised team focusing on servicing accounts. You will play a pivotal role in evaluating, analysing, and underwriting a range of different accounts tailored to clients and their unique needs.
You will be expected in the office a minimum of 2 days a week.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assess and underwrite Mid Corporate & Corporate Risks.
• Handling your own book of set clients. Working on various schemes.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, brokers, and other stakeholders to support business growth and retention.
• Stay informed about market trends, industry developments, and competitor activities.
• Attending broker meetings with the Lead Underwriter when required.

What’s needed for me to be considered?
• Proven experience in underwriting, preferably within Property OR Commercial Combined.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Relevant professional qualifications (e.g., CII) are advantageous.
