We are working with a leading general insurance group to recruit an Underwriting and Pricing Risk Manager to support their Group Risk & Compliance function. Reporting to the Head of Financial Risk, this newly created role will play a key part in providing 2nd line oversight of underwriting and pricing risks across the business, with a focus on embedding effective model risk management and supporting the delivery of ORSA processes. Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Providing 2nd line oversight and assurance of underwriting and pricing risks, including deep dive reviews, policy updates, and risk event reporting.

  • Supporting the application of the Risk Management Framework to identify, assess, and monitor material risks within underwriting and pricing functions.

  • Assisting in the design and delivery of group-wide ORSA processes and stress testing.

  • Helping to embed and oversee the Group's Model Risk Management Framework, with particular focus on underwriting and pricing models.

  • Liaising with the wider Finance and Actuarial functions to support oversight of reinsurance and investment strategies.

  • Attending and contributing to relevant governance forums such as Underwriting and Pricing Committees.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified or part-qualified actuary, or a financial risk professional with relevant experience, to take on a strategic oversight role in a dynamic and forward-looking environment.
