University Relations Specialist Events - 6 months FTC

Hays are recruiting on behalf of a global financial institution to recruit a University Relations Specialist (Events) on a 6-month FTC in Belfast.

Your new role
As University Relations Specialist, you will be responsible for building relationships and developing innovative strategies that differentiate the company on campus. You will be responsible for:

• Developing and maintaining relationships with universities with the aim of positioning the company as an employer of choice for students
• Working with the recruitment team to understand their hiring needs and ensure the university relations strategy supports this
• Developing a schedule of events aimed at attracting students to apply for roles at the company, including working on event logistics for on-campus events, virtual events and career fairs
• Working in partnership with the wider global university relations team on planning and execution of virtual events
• Working in partnership with the Talent Attraction Engagement and Diversity team on marketing campaigns to promote campus events and early careers roles
• Supporting the team with logistics for events including registration, managing suppliers, room bookings, catering etc
• Managing the relationship with our logistics provider and acting as the main point-of-contact both in advance and on the day of events
• Payment processing of invoices

What you'll need to succeed
You will have experience in university relations, events, or a similar role. You will have event management experience, strong written and oral communication skills, ability to prioritise multiple tasks, experience of managing a variety of stakeholders and a University degree or equivalent experience. Experience of working in a global organisation would be an advantage.

What you'll get in return
Hourly rate of £17-£37 per hour depending on experience, 35 days annual leave, hybrid working, company laptop.
