Currently I am working with a dynamic and inclusive secondary school dedicated to providing a supportive and engaging learning environment. They are committed to academic excellence and the holistic development of our students.

They are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff, ensuring that students remain on task with their learning activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise classes during the absence of regular teachers.
  • Ensure that students are engaged in the learning activities provided by the absent teacher.
  • Manage classroom behavior in accordance with school policies and procedures.
  • Provide support and guidance to students as needed.
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Take attendance and maintain accurate records.
  • Communicate any issues or concerns to the relevant staff members.
  • Support the administration and smooth operation of the school as required.
  • Assist with other duties related to student supervision and support as necessary.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree preferred).
  • Experience working with secondary school students, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Strong classroom management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • A proactive and flexible approach to work.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
