Unreal Developer

This hybrid position, based in Portsmouth or Bristol, offers a unique opportunity to work with cutting-edge game engine software including Augmented Reality and Mixed Reality. • Developing applications using the Unreal Engine
• Writing quality, efficient, and reusable C++ & C# code, and peer-reviewing code produced by other developers
• Supporting developers in producing applications collaboratively with effective use of source control
• Contributing to in-house training programs for Unreal Engine
• Testing and deploying projects
• Providing clear and frequent communication with Line and Project Management
• Engaging in design and implementation decisions for projects and new business
• Producing comprehensive technical documentation, including process specifications and user guides
• Leading a team of Unity and Unreal Developers to develop applications collaboratively with effective use of source control
• Undertaking any additional tasks to ensure the success of the role and support to the Business Unit

• Experience in Unreal/Unity design, development, and deployment
• Proficiency in C++ with graphic APIs OpenGL and DirectX
• Knowledge of Vizard and Python scripting languages to develop Virtual Reality applications
• Understanding of the full development pipeline including software packages like 3DS Max, Adobe Creative Suite, and Substance Suite
• Experience in architecture development for complex projects with significant VR elements
• Strong knowledge of source control and collaborative working
• Understanding of 3D mathematics and physics
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or another relevant discipline
