I am excited to be recruiting for a well-established, award-winning Architectural and Urban Design practice whose over 45 years of experience drives their reputation for delivering forward-thinking, inspiring designs where communities can thrive. They are specialists within the residential and retirement sectors with extensive expertise on master planning and design coding. With a number of exciting projects on the horizon they are seeking a talented Urban Designer to join their collaborative team in London.
The successful Urban Designer will have several years of post-qualification experience after their masters degree in Urban design with proficiency in industry standard software and a proven track record of working on mixed use residential schemes.
Skills, Experience and Responsibilities for the role of Urban Designer:
- Sufficient post qualification experience working in an Urban design/ Architectural practice
- A master's degree in urban design is essential ideally with a background in Architecture
- Proficient in the use of Photoshop, InDesign, AutoCAD and other industry standard software
- Well versed in rendering/ visualisation packages
- Boast creative design and graphic skills
- Great communication skills with ability to engage confidently with stakeholders and clients
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Keen to continue own professional development and input to company growth
- Strong portfolio to showcase experience
- Experience working on residential and mixed use schemes
- Assist with mentoring emergent team members
- Work on masterplanning and urban design projects
- Carry out feasibility studies, development briefs and detailed design guidance
