Job Title: Mechanical and Electrical Estimator
Location: Sutton-in-Ashfield, Nottinghamshire - Office Based Role
Salary: £30-35k plus benefits
Our client, based in Sutton-in-Ashfield are looking for a Utilities Estimator which will be primarily focused on servicing their estimating requirements for their growing portfolio of client products.
Day to Day responsibilities:
- Operating directly with customers, suppliers and internal production and sales teams, helping support costing of projects which meet the customers’ technical requirements;
- Producing accurate quotations including margins and materials;
- Submission of proposals;
- Participating in launch meetings once a proposal has been won to hand over the project;
- Giving a detailed breakdown of the successful bid, technical risks and opportunities;
- You will need to be able to extract information from a client document enquiry;
- Writing a clear sales agenda;
- Liaising with all departments involved in the project, clear and concise communication skills;
- Ability to effectively inform and influence others to help the management of proposals;
- Managing a wide range of estimates and tasks, running multiple enquiry responses;
- Working within a deadline driven environment
Skills Required:
- Level 5 Mechanical/Electrical or civil engineering Qualifications is desirable, however if you have site experience that is relevant instead this would suffice;
- Good writing and editing skills
- Able to write accurate and concise reports and proposals
- IT Skills - excellent knowledge of MS Office and MS Project
- Presentation skills
- Utilities Sector experience, previous experience of working within the Water Treatment industry would be essential
