Van Driver

Berry Recruitment in Exeter are working with a leading Food provider in the south of our region who are seeking several Van Drivers. These are ongoing positions and could eventually lead to permanent positions for the right candidates.

As a Van Driver you job role will be as follows:

• Delivery of Ambient, Chilled and Frozen food products along with Catering Equipment products to multiple customer locations which may vary each day in a timely and professional manner.
• Load and deliver Customer orders within food safety standards to the correct location as detailed on delivery notes and route ordering allowing for any timed drops or other irregularities.
• Full compliance with security including vehicle and necessary equipment checks, paperwork and fuel cards are on board prior to leaving the depot for the day's journey.
• While at the customer's premises ensure all goods are unloaded safely, efficiently and always in a considerate and polite fashion taking into account the care and attention for the general public at all times.
• Liaising with our customers to complete delivery documentation and to collect cash while ensuring its security.
• Control and return any stock and pallets to their correct places after debrief in a timely and tidy manner.

To be considered for the Van Driver role based near Plymouth you should have the following:

• Driving licence (Cat C1 up to 7.5 tonne cat B1 to 3.5 tonne)
• Good interpersonal skills
• Effective communication skills
• Physically fit
• Numeracy and literature
• Basic IT literacy
• You will have experience working in multi-temperature distribution
• You are a team player
• Ability to work alone

This position is offering an hourly rate of £12.34 and will cover 40 hours a week.
