This position is for a VAT Accountant in the Accounting & Finance department of a renowned not-for-profit institution. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing VAT related matters and maintaining financial compliance

Description

  • Manage and oversee all VAT related matters for the organisation
  • Ensure accurate and timely preparation of VAT returns
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of VAT regulations and legislation
  • Provide specialist VAT advice to departments within the organisation
  • Work closely with the finance team to maintain financial compliance
  • Prepare and present VAT reports to senior management
  • Assist with internal and external audits
  • Participate in VAT planning and risk management

Profile

  • A successful VAT Accountant should have:
  • A degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
  • Proven experience in VAT accounting
  • Knowledge of VAT regulations and legislation
  • Strong analytic and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in accounting software
