VAT Manager

Our client is seeking an experienced VAT Manager to join their growing team. As VAT Manager, you will be responsible for managing the VAT workflow for an extensive client base, providing expert guidance, and building trusted relationships with clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor the VAT workflow for an extensive client base
  • Collate data previously reported in the VAT returns, and using that data complete VAT returns
  • Work with the wider business to understand any VAT issues and provide guidance and advice to resolve
  • Identify differences within the reconciliations, investigate those differences and provide a resolution
  • Build trusted relationships with clients
  • Confidently work with the wider tax team to attract new business opportunities to grow the firm's VAT client portfolio, including attendance at networking events

Required Skills:

  • CA, ACA or ACCA qualified. CTA or ATT is desirable
  • Previous experience or exposure within a business development environment
  • Relevant experience in a practice environment or a similar role is essential
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work alone as well as in a team
