We are thrilled to offer an exciting opportunity for a Vehicle Safety Checker and Valeter to join our well-established and successful client located in Hatfield. The role is a full-time permanent position offering a salary of £28,975. You will be required to work either 07:30 - 17:00 (1hour break) or 08:00 - 17:00 (30min break), Monday to Friday and 07:30 - 12:00, 2 Saturday’s per month).

Full training will be provided and although the role will be based at Hatfield, the successful candidate may be required to work in Hoddesdon on occasions.

Duties include:

  • Work closely with the Hire Desk Team to ensure that the following can be completed
  • Delivery to and collection from vehicle storage areas (Station Yard, GTs & Hoddesdon) of vehicles for cleaning
  • Assisting Hire Staff with check In’s and Check Out’s on ProHire
  • 6 weekly vehicle checks on all vehicles
  • Cleaning cars, vans, trucks and new customer vehicles
  • Keeping yard and work area tidy and free of obstructions
  • Ensuring stock of consumables (oil, and cleaning items)
  • Preparing trucks and vans/cars for sale
  • Handover sales vehicle’s to customers, new and our own ex hire
  • Backup for driving/deliveries/collections/moving vehicles between depots
  • Assist with Store goods delivery and collections and any heavy lifting required, collecting parts etc.
