South Central Fleet Services Ltd, are looking for Vehicle Technicians to join our team at our workshop facility in Nursling, maintaining vehicles on behalf of South Central Ambulance Service

Vehicle Technician Responsibilities:

  • Perform maintenance and repairs on ambulances and other vehicles to SCFS Ltd standards
  • Attend breakdown scenes for repairs, following safety guidelines
  • Prepare new vehicles for service and old vehicles for disposal
  • Maintain records related to vehicle maintenance and repair
  • Prioritise health and safety, reporting hazards or accidents promptly
  • Attend training courses for vehicle maintenance and repair
  • Make repair decisions in the absence of the Fleet Supervisor
  • Participate in Duty Mechanic standby rota system
  • Contribute to income generation and relevant fleet maintenance work

Qualifications:

  • City and Guilds Motor Vehicle Craft studies parts 1, 2 & 3 or Motor Vehicle Technicians qualification (or BTEC equivalents)
  • Full Driving Licence
  • Relevant workshop experience in vehicle maintenance and repair
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
