The Role:

Silcom Recruitment are currently in search of a skilled Vehicle Technician to join one of the UK’s most trusted used vans retailers based on the outskirts of Reading.

Our client operates a comprehensive workshop and is actively seeking a Vehicle Technician to join on an ongoing contract basis, with the possibility of permanent employment also being considered for the right person.

Responsibilities & Requirements of a Vehicle Technician:

Conduct diagnostic tests on various systems and components according to contract specifications.

Follow established procedures and protocols for diagnosing and troubleshooting technical issues.

Utilise specialised diagnostic equipment and tools to identify problems accurately.

Document test results, observations, and findings for analysis and reporting purposes.

Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to resolve complex technical issues.

Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while performing diagnostic procedures.

Maintain and calibrate diagnostic equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.

Stay updated on technological advancements and changes in diagnostic methods.

Provide technical support and assistance to other team members as needed.

Communicate effectively with clients or stakeholders regarding diagnostic findings and recommendations.

The Package:

£20.00 per hour - £22.00 per hour.

Monday to Friday hours: [8:00am - 5:30pm].

(1-in-3) Saturday rota [8:30am - 12:30pm].

**When working the Saturday rotation, you are given the following Friday afternoon off**
