Overview of the role

This role, as part of the Creative Studio, is focused on supporting the Hays UK&I Marketing team in creating high-quality branded video assets to help promote Hays' services and reputation as the world's leading specialist recruiter. The successful candidate will be instrumental in creating content for multiple audiences, including jobseekers
looking for career advice, senior leaders searching for insights to help build their workforce, as well as informing our employees of business
initiatives and strategies.

Your New Role

  • Must have a campaign mindset on all projects
  • Storyboarding, filming and editing of videos based on Hays' brand guidelines and templates
    for a variety of project types, including:Promotion of National Campaigns and Specialism-focused reports | Interviews with
    Specialism leads to promote products and/or services | Supporting Social Media Manager
    with video content | Video townhalls featuring senior stakeholders
  • Take briefs from colleagues within the department and around the business
  • Search for and/or acquire on-brand video assets to be used in projects
  • Contribute to 'studio housekeeping', e.g. managing Hays and client files and assets,file naming, archiving and general day-to-day upkeep of studio facilities and environment
  • Full understanding of all aspects of the Hays brand to ensure correct and consistent
    execution of all work
  • Manage projects and relationships with agencies, freelancers and other creative third
    parties (as required) to deliver on-brand work
  • Ensure briefs meet the requirements of the Creative Studio department; liaising with the
    Digital Production Manager (DPM) to ensure all work is conducted according to the agreed
    creative process and to make sure all work is checked, approved and delivered on-brief,
    on-spec and on-time
  • Presenting concepts/designs to the Head of Marketing Activation and/or DPM, as well as
    Marketing stakeholders, the business and/or external clients
  • Act as a Brand guardian, developing a complete understanding of all aspects of the Hays
    brand guidelines, to ensure correct and appropriate execution for work
  • Help develop the creative knowledge and capabilities of the creative team by
    investigating, researching and communicating innovations, news and opportunities
    in the creative/marketing industries
  • Keep up-to-date with new business news, the competition and Hays' marketing strategy
    to ensure that we offer the best possible creative solution to our customers' needs
  • Willingness to improve the quality of design and be an active member of the creative process
    Work effectively with the different systems employed by Hays, including Asana, the Hays
    Brand Portal, and Hays intranet (Sharepoint)
  • Help build a training plan in light of personal aspirations, business requirements and
    resourcing needs
  • Contribute to creative briefing sessions, team meetings, events and reviews

Key Requirements for success

  • Strong portfolio demonstrating creative flair, innovation, originality and experience of working on a range of different types of projects
  • Strong working knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro, and After Effects
    Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud applications incl. InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop & Acrobat
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
  • Experience working with a project management system preferable, but not essential (Asana)
  • Good team worker who contributes and supports the wider team/department
  • Commercially aware with good understanding of business needs Understanding of the skills needed to produce high-quality creative work and the latest industry trends
  • Proven success in driving forward brand awareness
  • Experience of working within a corporate in-house environment a distinct advantage
