A leading telecoms business is seeking an experienced Voice Engineer to join their team in a fully remote role. This position offers the opportunity to work from home full-time while playing a key role in 3rd line support, customer onboarding, and leading critical voice infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will work extensively with VoIP, SIP, and SBC technologies, ensuring seamless, high-quality communication solutions for clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide 3rd line support for complex voice-related escalations, troubleshooting and resolving issues.
  • Oversee the onboarding of new customers, ensuring seamless implementation of voice services.
  • Lead and manage voice infrastructure projects, from planning through to successful deployment.
  • Configure, maintain, and support VoIP, SIP, and Session Border Controllers (SBCs).
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to enhance voice solutions.
  • Ensure security, compliance, and best practices are followed within the voice environment.
  • Proactively monitor and optimize system performance and reliability.

Key Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Voice Engineer, with expertise in VoIP, SIP, and SBCs.
  • Strong background in 3rd line support, handling complex voice infrastructure challenges.
  • Experience in customer onboarding, delivering seamless voice solutions for new clients.
  • Good understanding of networking principles, including QoS and routing.
  • Hands-on experience with voice platforms such as Cisco, Microsoft Teams, Avaya, or similar.
  • Ability to manage projects, communicate effectively, and lead technical implementations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive mindset.
