Location: Hybrid / Office,Lewes
Salary: £27,000 - £32,000 per annum (Depending on experience)

The Role
As the Volunteer Co-ordinator you will oversee the recruitment, training, placement, and retention of volunteers within the organisation. As part of the role you will manage the volunteer programmes, ensuring that volunteers are effectively integrated into the organisation’s operations.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential:
- Experience in volunteer coordination or management.
- Knowledge and experience of designing and managing campaigns
- Experience in recruitment
- Knowledge of best practices in volunteer management.
- Experience with a community outreach scheme
- Excellent communication skills, including networking and presentation skills.
- Good organisational and time management skills, with the ability to multi-task, plan and prioritise workload.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to deal with a diverse range of people
- Demonstrates the ability to inspire and motivate others.
- Ability to negotiate, influence and problem solve and ability to think creatively.
- Proficient administrative and IT skills (MS Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
- Empathy with volunteering and understanding of volunteers’ needs.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed
Other useful skills and experience:
- Experience working in the Charity sector
