Position: Frontend Developer (Vue3 with TypeScript)

Location: Onsite in Cardiff once per quarter

Type: Contract (Initial contract runs till November)

Team Size: 5 Developers, 1 QA, UX/UI Designer, Product Owner, Project Manager

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Frontend Developer with in-depth knowledge of Vue3 and TypeScript to join our team working on the modernization of a customer application used for Fraud and Investigations. This role involves creating a reusable component library and developing the frontend application using Vue3 components. The backend is developed using Laravel, which communicates with the API.

Key Responsibilities

• Component Library Development:

• Develop and maintain a Vue3 component library using TypeScript.

• Utilize Storybook for accessibility testing and component display.

• Ensure components are reusable and can be utilized by other teams within the business.

• Frontend Application Development:

• Develop multiple pages across the product using Vue3 and TypeScript.

• Handle customer support related to frontend issues.

Required Skills and Experience

• Technical Proficiency:

• Strong expertise in Vue3 with Composition API.

• Advanced knowledge of TypeScript and its nuances.

• Experience with Inertia for treating the application like a single page.

• Familiarity with Storybook for component display (preferred but not critical).

• Work Approach:

• Understanding of security best practices in data-driven applications.

• Ability to design and develop secure and efficient components.

• Knowledge of the latest Vue3 recommendations and best practices.

• Team Collaboration:

• Experience working in a team environment with developers, QA, UX/UI Designers, and Product Owners.

• Willingness to participate in workshops and kickoff sessions as needed.

• Good communication skills and the ability to convey technical concepts through experiences.
