Job Title: Warehouse / Logistics Operative

Location: Oxford

Salary: £27,000 per annum

Job Type: Full Time, Permanent

Working Hours: 40 hours per week Monday to Friday on a rotating shift basis:

  • Week A: 07:00 to 16:00
  • Week B: 10:00 to finish (approximately 19:00)
  • Week C: 08:00 to 17:00

Overtime available at weekends at £19.47 per hour

About the role:

This quality focused, customer facing role working at our customer site in Eynsham within the small Goods-In team is part of the larger supply chain operation based at our Head Office in Didcot Quarter. Safe working, careful handling of a wide variety of high value materials, teamwork and customer focussed professionalism are key to success for this role rather than high pressure KPI driven pallet movement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safe loading and unloading of vehicles, avoiding damage to persons, stock or equipment
  • Check delivered materials against paperwork to ensure correct material has been delivered in the correct quantity
  • Process materials accurately and move to the correct factory location in a safe and efficient manner, ensuring utmost care is taken, that the required scanning activity is carried out, correct documentation is attached, and no damage occurs
  • Ensure that pallets, transport frames and other returns are efficiently collected from the factory line, with correct documentation and scanning.
  • Maintain a safe, clean and tidy workplace
  • Ensure that relevant information is passed to the Goods in office, to ensure that non-routine duties are accurately documented
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues onsite and at HQ to ensure that all important information is shared and any issues arising in the workplace can be quickly resolved.
  • Comply with all health and safety guidelines and work actively to maintain a safe working environment at all times

Key Requirements:

  • A successful track record of working in a warehouse or logistics environment or demonstrable relevant skills and experience
  • Excellent customer focus and attention to detail
  • Full UK/EU/EEA driving licence is essential
  • Experience of using forklifts and other MHE whether with in-house or external licence is desirable
  • An ability to understand verbal instructions and documentation written in the English language, and the ability to communicate with clarity in English is a requirement for this role
