Job Title: Warehouse Manager

Hours: Monday to Friday (8:30 am - 5:00 pm) with occasional Saturday

Location: Luton

Salary: Competitive

Contract Type: Permanent - Full time

As a Warehouse Manager at our client's site, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Warehouse Team in managing specific functions within the Inbound, Picking, and Despatch Operation.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and organise daily picking requirements, ensuring accuracy and fulfilment of customer orders.
  • Supervise the processing of all incoming orders from customers.
  • Plan and organise warehouse activities, delegating tasks to ensure maximum efficiency.
  • Ensure implementation and adherence to health and safety procedures.
  • Collaborate with the Procurement department to monitor stock levels, ensuring availability and avoiding overstocking.
  • Maintain stock accuracy and follow the FIFO policy.
  • Physically book in and record all inbound goods into the warehouse management system.
  • Pack and ship orders promptly.
  • Process and handle customer returns, faulty items, and stock discrepancies.
  • Maintain effective communication and collaboration between Sales and the Warehouse.
  • Resolve customer and internal issues and queries in a timely manner.
  • Train and develop the skills of the warehouse team on daily procedures.
  • Identify areas for improvement and implement changes as necessary.

Candidate Specification:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a management position.
  • Experience in handling electrical components and finished products is preferred.
  • Forklift operation skills (reach truck) are preferred, but not essential.
  • Experience with Import/Export is preferred, but not essential, as the Warehouse Manager will have the Logistics Administrator as a direct report.
