Forklift Operative
  • Hourly Rate: £12-15 PAYE / £15-18 Umbrella
  • Location: Canning Town, E16
  • Job Type: Temporary, Full-time

We are currently seeking a dedicated Forklift Driver / Warehouse Operative to join our client's team on a temporary basis. The role is based in Canning Town and requires immediate start. A valid counterbalance forklift licence is essential for this position.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Operating a counterbalance forklift to move goods within the warehouse.
  • Loading and unloading deliveries and organising them in the storage area.
  • Ensuring the safe handling and storage of goods to prevent damage.
  • Maintaining a clean and safe working environment in the warehouse.
  • Conducting regular checks on the forklift to ensure it is safe to use.
  • Assisting with inventory counts and warehouse organisation.
  • Complying with health and safety regulations and company policies.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Valid counterbalance forklift licence.
  • Previous experience in a warehouse environment.
  • Good physical fitness, as the role may involve manual handling.
  • Ability to work efficiently and accurately.
  • Strong awareness of health and safety procedures.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
