BD Foods

BD Foods joined AAK International in 2019 as part of the Global Foodservice Group. Now AAK BD Foods, the site is a producer of tailor-made restaurant quality meal accompaniments and boasts a portfolio of over 3,000 products. With the ethos “Chefs not machines”, quality and innovation are at the heart of what they do. With its purpose-built manufacturing site based in St Leonards on Sea, the Company produces solution-based chilled, ambient, and frozen products in a variety of pack formats for the food service sector.

Responsibilities
  • To pick orders to be dispatched ensuring they are correct and of the required standard to meet the demands of the customer and that all relevant paperwork is completed to the standards as set out in the Company Policy and Procedures Manual
  • To liaise with colleagues to ensure sufficient product is available for production needs.
  • Take receipt of deliveries, ensuring all checks and paperwork completed; where there is deviation from the required standard take the relevant action and report to a supervisor.
  • To follow the stock rotation procedure and to report any shortages to the line manager.
  • To ensure all stock is in spec USB dates and any out of spec materials are on hold.
  • Liaise with couriers to ensure correct transportation of goods and ensuring all relevant paperwork is completed.
  • To ensure all deliveries are labelled correctly to the standards as set out in the Company Policy and Procedures Manual
  • To complete appropriate records for orders ensuring the standards as set out in the Company Policy and Procedures Manual are maintained.
  • To report maintenance requirement for machinery and work area to a supervisor
  • To fill, pack and label small orders for dispatch.
  • To load and check orders onto vehicles for dispatch; acting where a discrepancy is found.
  • To comply with health and safety legislation
  • Carry out duties as the management may from time to time reasonably require.

About you
  • Strong communication skills
  • Experience in a similar role required.
  • Basic IT skills required.
  • Knowledge of food hygiene practice

Qualifications
  • Counterbalance or Reach truck license desirable.
