Overview of Role

Following a recent business acquisition and robust expansion plan, our client is looking to hire a ‘Warehouse Supervisor’ – Reporting to the Operations Director.

They are looking for an experienced ‘Hands on’ Warehouse Supervisor to oversee and coordinate the daily warehousing activities and staff.

You will implement; productivity, quality, and customer service standards in line with the existing targets that are in place. Ensuring that your staff are working to their maximum capability.

Ultimately, you should be able to ensure that daily operations meet and exceed daily performance expectations and to increase the company’s overall performance.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:

  • Achieve high levels of customer satisfaction through excellence in receiving, identifying, dispatching, and assuring quality of goods.
  • Measure and report the effectiveness of warehousing activities and employee’s performance within your team.
  • Organise and maintain inventory and storage area using M3 (training will be given)
  • Liaising with the parent company in Ireland with a view to mirroring procedure that are in place.
  • Ensure shipments and inventory transactions are accurate.
  • Communicate job expectations coaching and training your team.
  • Determine staffing levels and assign workload.
  • Interface with operations to answer questions or solve problems.
  • Maintain stock records, document necessary information.
  • Identify areas of improvement and establish innovative or adjust existing work procedures and practices.

Key Skills and Requirements:

  • Proven work experience as a Warehouse Supervisor.
  • Experience working with large UK retailers.
  • Forklift operation is essential.
  • Well presented, uniform will be provided.
  • Highly effective supervisory skills and techniques.
  • Knowledge of warehouse software packages and MS Office proficiency.
  • Ability to input, retrieve and analyse data.
  • Hands-on commitment to getting the job done.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to direct and coordinate operations.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Experience in logistics, supply chain management or business administration.
