If you have proven practical skills, a telehandler forklift licence (we can train you if not), ideally experience in warehouse or stores operations and excellent face-to-face customer service skills, read on... Our busy fabrication workshop at Ewelme, near Wallingford, needs a full-time Waste Container Technician to manage the supply of waste containers to and from our customers – think stock-control, cleaning (pressure-washing) and repairs, completing job cards and delivering to customers' sites in our service van. We're offering a permanent contract, weekly pay rate of around £586 and a host of benefits, including:

- Discretionary company bonuses

- Pension scheme (you contribute 5% of pay, Grundon matches this) with life insurance cover 

- 30 days’ annual leave (inclusive of 8 bank holidays), which will increase with service, plus the option to buy up to 5 extra days' holiday

About the Waste Container Technician role

Happy to work on your own initiative, you will ensure we hold adequate stock at the workshop and maintain accurate stock records. The job will involve picking and collating orders ready for delivery/collection, and servicing and repairing containers at customers' premises. Applying vinyl artwork accurately is all part of the job, and you can also expect to help with loading and unloading vehicles. 

What we're looking for in our Waste Container Technician

- Ability to understand written and verbal instructions in English

- Excellent time-management skills

- Competent in using power and hand tools

- Full UK driving licence

Working hours: 7am-4.45pm, Mon-Fri - 45 hours per week
