Waste Operative

Does a 4-on-4-off rotating shift working pattern suit you? If so, you could fit in well as Waste Operative at our busy treatment facility between Reading and Maidenhead, where clinical waste from customers like vets and care homes is processed and sterilised. We’re offering a permanent contract, weekly pay of £475.10 plus £118.77 shift allowance and a host of great benefits, including:

What you'll be doing as Waste Operative

- Sorting and processing waste 

- Operating a mechanical bin tipper to load waste onto a trailer for onward disposal.

- Helping with maintenance of the plant and equipment, ensuring that checks are completed and any defects reported.

- Operating a bin wash machine and carrying out any repairs. 

- Working with the Shift Supervisor to ensure everything runs smoothly, minimising down-time 

What we're looking for in our Waste Operative

- You're competent at operating machinery and plant safely

- Good communication skills, both written and face to face

- Flexible approach  

Working hours: 4 ‘early’ shifts followed by 4 ‘late’ ones, averaging 38.61 hours per week. Your normal shift will be 12 hours: early shift, 6am-6pm, late shift, 8am-8pm, weekends, 6am-6pm
