Twilo Creative is a Website Design, Development and Digital Marketing agency based in Leeds. We are looking to appoint an Apprentice Website Developer to support our team in creating exciting and functional websites and applications. The applicant will complete a Level 4 Software Developer apprenticeship while gaining experience working on real projects.

This ideal candidate will have a positive outlook and a willingness to learn and progress within the team. Coming into an established agency, the support network is in place to guide you through your apprenticeship and help you gain valuable experience. You must be dependable and able to carry out instructions.

Responsibilities:

  • Write efficient and maintainable code using best practices for website development, in line with company coding standards.
  • Work with other programmers and designers to create websites which match the agreed client expectations and communicate with colleagues to gather and refine requirements while delivering projects within agreed timelines.
  • Create and maintain documentation for developed solutions & improve and maintain existing projects as well as responding effectively to any downtime and urgent requests.
  • Carry out daily and weekly checks to ensure websites and servers perform optimally.
  • Work with other departments, offering support in a non-technical manner.
  • Act on emails received from the live servers such as updates and security alerts & update marketing lists with CSV exports from customer databases.
  • Regularly check backups are functioning correctly.
  • Have awareness of client retainer hours to ensure tasks are completed each month and don’t overrun.

Entry Requirements:

  • The learner must have completed a Level 3 Software Development Apprenticeship with QA or have an equivalent qualification with another training provider
  • OR an A-level in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) subject and a successful completion of our aptitude test
  • OR a BTEC Diploma in IT and a successful completion of our aptitude test
  • OR 2 years’ experience in a relevant role and successful completion of our aptitude test

You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.

If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.

Additional Information:

  • Working hours - 35 hours a week, Monday to Friday in person 9:am – 5pm
  • Hybrid working – Work from home on Wednesdays.
