Permanent position

Salary: Competitive, depending in experience, plus overtime rates

Location: Basildon, Essex

A skilled TIG Welder / Fabricator is required to join a well-established Essex based engineering company who specialise in design and manufacture of high-quality catering equipment.

It is essential for candidate to have experience of welding stainless steel down to 1.0 mm and need to have a good understanding of engineering drawings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • TIG welding on stainless steel.
  • Ensure high-quality workmanship in the fabrication of sheet metal components.
  • Metal finishing, polishing etc.
  • Work from detailed engineering drawings to meet project specifications.
  • Adhere to all relevant health and safety standards in the workplace.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Extensive hands-on experience in stainless steel TIG welding.
  • Proven expertise in sheet metal fabrication.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Strong team player with excellent communication skills.
  • Awareness of health and safety regulations.
  • Any welding certifications (coding) would be an advantage but not essential.

Working Hours:

  • Monday to Friday, 8.00 AM to 4.30 PM with excellent overtime opportunities.
  • Competitive pay: discussed at interview.
  • Overtime rates.
