Job Title: Workshop QC/ Welding Inspector
Location: Aberdeenshire
Salary: £18.00 - £20.00 per hour plus benefit package
Contract: Permanent Full Time - May be required to work overtime when required to facilitate workflow through the workshop.

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a QC/Inspector with our client working as part of a driven quality department to ensure delivery of accuracy, competence and mentorship within their workshop.

Requirements
  • A wide understanding of the key elements required for working within a busy workshop environment in the role of welding and dimensional inspector to ensure compliance to Drawing and welding procedures, to include but not limited too.
  • Perform pre-weld visual fit up and post weld inspections.
  • Define re-work or Repairs and document accordingly.
  • Have the ability to work within a small Quality team and provide assistance with Junior QA/QC personal, reporting to the QA/QC Manager,
  • Assist in the coordination of NDT Activities.
  • Provide assistance in documentation and recording/compiling of records. 

Essentials
  • The ability to interpret complex engineering drawings.
  • Qualified to CSWIP 3.0 Minimum.
  • Time served in their profession (e.g. Minimum City and Guilds Fabrication and Welding qualified or equivalent)
  • Be familiar with all welding processes.
  • Knowledge of non-destructing testing methods
  • Familiarity with Structural Materials

  • Highly committed due to longevity of work.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision reporting back to QA/QC Manager.
