About the Role

Base Location: Flexible, however our preference is that you will be based in one of our key UK or Ireland sites, which includes but is not limited to: - Glasgow, Perth, Aberdeen, Inverness, Reading, Havant, Belfast or Dublin.

Travel will be required on occasion to either our Glasgow, Dublin or Belfast offices.

Salary: £40,600 - £61,000 / €56,500 - €84,700 (depending on base country, skills and experience) + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time / Part Time | Flexible First options available.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Wind Resource & Energy Yield Analyst to join the Energy Analytics team, supporting SSE Renewables' pipeline of onshore wind farm projects in their development, construction and operational phases. Your role will be to deliver wind data analysis and energy yield modelling to inform projects' design and financial investment decisions.

As well as experienced wind analyst professionals, we are also interested in hearing from recent graduates with Renewables-focussed degrees or internships completed in wind analysis teams.

Some of your main accountabilities will include:

- Performing analysis of measured wind data from meteorological masts and LiDAR devices.

- Producing wind farm layout designs.

- Conducting wind flow modelling and energy yield assessments.

- Performing turbine suitability assessments.

- Performing in-house R&D and tool development.

What do I need?

To be successful in this role, we would love you to have:

- A degree level qualification in a science, engineering or related discipline with a high level of numerical and computer literacy.

- Experience in data processing and analysis.

- Knowledge of industry-standard wind analysis software such as Windographer and WindFarmer.

- Ability to convey key information to multi­-disciplined teams and a variety of stakeholders.

- Advantageous of CFD wind flow modelling, programming skills in Matlab and/or Python along with Wind farm operational data analysis skills
