Workshop Assistant - 19939
Our client has an exciting opportunity for a Workshop Assistant to join their small team in Bicester. Working on a full time, permanent basis. Hours Mon-Thu 08:00-17:00, Fri 08:30-16:00.
Key day-to-day tasks:
- Picking & packing orders.
- Handling courier shipments - inbound and outbound.
- Unloading deliveries manually and by forklift/pallet truck.
- Book in, unpack and organise stock in the correct location.
- Stock management, to include managing stock levels and placing orders.
- Cleaning the workshop and associated areas.
Once ready, a training programme will be provided on our products to enable the successful candidate to undertake:
- Servicing, general repairs and maintenance of our equipment.
- An understanding of how to run and operate the machines to provide on-site demonstrations of machines to prospective customers.
Skills and Experience:
A mechanical/engineering background, or relevant transferable skills, are essential, as is a valid UK driving licence. You will need to have a strong work ethic, and take pride in the quality of your work, and experience in a workshop would be beneficial.
- Mechanical/engineering background.
- Forklift truck license preferred, but not essential. Training can be provided.
- IT literate to basic standard
- Proactive, with good time management.
- Good organisation & communication skills

Our client will provide comprehensive training to allow you to learn new skills and grow within a supportive environment. They offer 20 days holiday, excluding bank holiday, which increases with service to 25 days, and there is a health care plan opportunity after the probation period.
Salary from £23k to £26k, depending on experience.
