Now that a member of the team has been promoted, we’re looking to take on a new Workshop Labourer to support the manufacturing processes of a busy engineering machine shop in Tewkesbury.

As our new Workshop Labourer, you'll be working in a small team of two with a friendly colleague who will give you all the training you need.

Essential requirement for this job: Driving licence
Working hours: 39 hour working week, day shift, finishing at lunch time on Fridays, overtime readily available.
Pay rate: We’re looking to pay £13 per hour, but please let us know your salary requirements.

The job - Workshop Labourer
Working on the premises of a well-established precision engineering business, your hard work, friendly and conscientious attitude will ensure the business is always running smoothly.
Jobs don’t come up often with this company. People are happy, pay is good, the management team are encouraging, the quality of the products produced is very high, the working environment is modern smart and clean.

Your duties will include amongst other things:
  • topping up, draining and replacing CNC machining fluids;
  • removing swarf (metal chips or filings) from machinery;
  • tidying workshop floor, washing floors and cleaning spills;
  • cleaning and packing components;
  • delivering products to customers using the company van;
  • some basic general buildings maintenance tasks as and when needed (painting, replacing light bulbs, general upkeep and basic handyperson-type jobs);
  • some deburring of machined components as and when needed;
  • lifting and moving metal bars, delivering to colleagues
  • any associated duties as required.
Reporting to the Manager, your job will see you working on an engineering factory site, working with and around engineers operating precision machinery. This is a busy and varied role for someone who takes a pride in their work and for someone who has a keen interest in making sure that the facility is kept well stocked, clean, tidy and organised to make sure colleagues can carry out their working day in a safe and effective manner.

Experience of working in a similar engineering environment would be preferable, a driving licence is essential for this job.
