Overview:We are seeking a skilled Workshop Plant Fitter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for repairs, servicing, and maintenance on plant machinery, crawler cranes, and piling equipment. Experience with hydraulics, diesel engines, and electrical systems is essential, as well as holding an NVQ level 2 in plant maintenance.

Responsibilities:

  • Conducting repairs, servicing, and maintenance on plant machinery, crawler cranes, and piling equipment
  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues
  • Performing scheduled maintenance tasks
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Keeping accurate maintenance records

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in repairing and maintaining plant machinery
  • Proficiency in hydraulics, diesel engines, and electrical systems
  • NVQ level 2 in plant maintenance or equivalent qualification
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Day-to-Day:

  • Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues
  • Conducting routine maintenance tasks
  • Collaborating with the workshop team to ensure efficient operations
  • Maintaining accurate records of maintenance and repairs
