Workshop Technician

A long established engineering company based in Medway Towns are looking for a Workshop Technician on a temporary basis to join their friendly refurbishment team. There may be an opportunity for permanent employment for the right candidate after a qualifying period.

Working within the refurbishment section of the Workshop, your duties will include:

• Basic refurbishment and testing of customers returned equipment using company procedures, drawings and test rigs whilst adhering to Health and Safety guidelines as set out by the company.
• Use of small hand tools-spanners, screwdrivers to carry out light repairs and replacement of parts.
• Painting of units.

Hours of work:

• Monday to Thursday, 06:30/07:00 - 15:00/15:30 and a half day finish on a Friday. 35 hours per week.

Ideally if you have worked in a factory/workshop environment and have some mechanical assembly and testing experience /knowledge which would be advantageous, however training will be provided.
