The Role:
This role sits within our product reporting team. As an investment writer working across our range of our private asset sustainable and impact funds, as well as some reporting on our non-sustainable public assets range (fixed income) you will work closely with key stakeholders in our investment and distribution teams to deliver a range of compliant content, with a focus on regular reporting (monthly, quarterly, and interim and annual regulatory reports).

You will act as an expert on the funds for which you are responsible, and will work alongside the product marketing team where required to support the delivery of marketing content. Previous experience of, and an interest in, private assets (particularly, private credit) and sustainable investing is preferred. You should be comfortable juggling competing deadlines, while strong written skills and the ability to interpret portfolio and market data are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To be responsible for the delivery of high-quality written investment content, with a focus on regular reports
  • To develop and demonstrate in-depth knowledge of allocated funds and the markets in which they invest, becoming an expert in the communication of those funds
  • To be aware of, and stay up to date on, changing regulatory requirements governing the production of reporting and marketing content for your funds
  • To work alongside the product marketing team to generate additional content where required, including press requests and marketing materials
  • To develop and maintain solid working relationships with our investment teams, working closely with the investment specialists in particular to gain investment insight to be used in day-to-day work
  • To be comfortable acting as a point of contact for the wider business in relation to allocated funds, as well as protecting the integrity of investment messaging

Key Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
  • Excellent financial writer with experience gained either from journalism or previous experience as an in-house investment writer
  • Ability to translate data into informative narrative
  • Strong verbal as well as written communication skills
  • Rigorous attention to detail, planning and organisation skills
  • Committed to achieving results and to deliver on time
  • Highly motivated, enthusiastic and driven to succeed
  • An approachable demeanour and positive attitude
  • A numerate, logical and analytical approach
  • Able to work both individually and in a collegiate and collaborative manner
  • Proactive in building industry experience and learning new skills
