Our client is looking for a Yard operative to join their team in Mold CH7!

Our client is one of the UK's leading suppliers of decorative aggregates, sand, gravel, slate and other natural stone products to the landscaping and construction industry.

Hours

  • 47 hours per week
  • Mon-Thurs 7am - 5pm + Fri 7am - 4:30pm
  • 1 x 30 min unpaid break + 2 x 15 min paid breaks

Pay

£12.30 per hour

Role of a yard operative

  • Operate Forklift safely and efficiently operate a forklift to move, stack, and organize large bags and other materials within the yard.
  • Load and unload trucks, ensuring that materials are handled with care to prevent damage.
  • Secure loads properly to prevent shifting or accidents during transport.
  • Perform daily inspections of the forklift to ensure it is in good working condition.
  • Report any mechanical issues or needed repairs to the maintenance team immediately.
  • Follow all safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Keep the yard organized by arranging materials in designated areas.
  • Manually moving or adjusting bags and other materials.
  • Collaborate with other yard staff to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

Requirements of a Yard operatives

  • Experienced forklift driver
  • Valid qualification
  • A positive can-do attitude
  • Must be okay with working within the yard as well as operating forklifts.
  • Happy to work on own initiative and within a team.
