We are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading plant equipment hire company, providing top-quality machinery and tools for construction, landscaping, and industrial projects.

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Yard Person to join their team, for a long-term ongoing role. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the yard, ensuring equipment is clean, organized, and ready for hire. 

This is a full time role working Monday to Friday 0800 – 1700.

Key Responsibilities:
• Inspect and clean equipment upon return.
• Organize and maintain the yard to ensure a safe and efficient workspace.
• Assist with loading and unloading equipment for customers.
• Perform basic maintenance and minor repairs on equipment.
• Conduct inventory checks and report any discrepancies.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.

Requirements:
• Previous experience in a similar role or in the construction/plant hire industry is preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to operate and maintain various types of plant equipment.
• Good physical condition and ability to lift heavy objects.
• Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Forklift license
