Year 4 SEN Teaching Assistant

  • Hourly Rate: £13.43 per hour
  • Location: Rossendale
  • Job Type: Full-time, Temporary

Reed Education/Lancashire Teaching Agency are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistants to provide support for children with special educational needs in a Year 4 class. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about making a difference in students’ lives and thrives in a supportive educational environment.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Provide tailored 1:1 support to a student, ensuring their educational and social development.
  • Assist with the planning and delivery of individual learning activities.
  • Work closely with the classroom teacher to monitor the student’s progress.
  • Implement strategies to support the student’s learning and engagement.
  • Facilitate a safe and positive learning environment.
  • Adapt to the student’s needs and provide feedback to teachers and parents.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • TA2 qualification or equivalent.
  • Experience in providing 1:1 support within an educational setting.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards student development.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other staff members.
  • A commitment to inclusive education and safeguarding practices.
