Year 6 Class Teacher - Lambeth
Location: Lambeth, London
Start Date: September 2025 (or sooner by mutual agreement)
Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: MPS/UPS (Inner London), based on experience

A thriving and inclusive primary school in the London Borough of Lambeth is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Year 6 Class Teacher to join their committed team. The Role:
The successful candidate will lead a Year 6 class, delivering engaging and effective lessons that support pupils through their final year of primary education. The role includes responsibility for preparing students for SATs and supporting their readiness for secondary school, both academically and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in line with the national curriculum

  • Track pupil progress and prepare them for end-of-key-stage assessments

  • Foster a positive, safe, and supportive learning environment

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and families

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Proven experience teaching in Key Stage 2, ideally in Year 6

  • A strong understanding of SATs preparation and curriculum expectations

  • Excellent organisational and classroom management skills

  • A reflective, committed, and child-centred approach to teaching
