Job Description:
Year 6 teacher required from November 2024.
Smart Education are currently recruiting for a Year 6 Teacher on behalf of our client in the Dudley area.
We are looking for a hardworking and committed teacher to cover a vacant post. This is a long-term on-going placement with the possibility of leading to a permanent role from Sep 2025. This post is also open to ECT’s.
JOB ROLE:
The Class Teacher will:
- teach a class of pupils, and ensure that planning, preparation, recording, assessment and reporting meet their varying learning and social needs;
- maintain the positive ethos and core values of the school, both inside and outside the classroom;
- contribute to constructive team-building amongst teaching and non-teaching staff, parents and governors;
DUTIES:
The Class Teacher will:
- implement agreed school policies and guidelines;
- plan appropriately to meet the needs of all pupils, through differentiation of tasks;
- be able to set clear targets, based on prior attainment, for pupils’ learning;
- provide a stimulating classroom environment, where resources can be accessed appropriately by all pupils;
- keep appropriate and efficient records, integrating formative and summative assessment into weekly and termly planning;
- participate in the performance management system for the appraisal of their own performance, or that of other teachers;
All applicants are required to provide a full CV, DBS and are subject to our clearance and interview procedures before being successful.
Specific details:
Qualifications Required: PGCE or BED honours, with QTS.
Salary: £140-170 per day DOE
Hours: 8:15-3:30 Monday to Friday
