R13 Recruitment are proud to be working alongside a fantastic organisation that makes a massive impact on the lives of young people. They are currently looking for a Young Person’s Mentor to join their team in Bracknell to work night shifts.

This is a full time, permanent position working 42.5 hours per week, 8:15pm-8:15am. You will be working on a 2-week rolling rota, including weekends (1 in 2) & bank holidays. This role is based in Bracknell, on-site. The offered salary for this position is £25,000 per annum.

The day to day

  • Working closely with a group of young people, assisting with daily livingand providing trauma-informed support.
  • Empowering young people to gain new skills and coping mechanisms.
  • Encouraging 'positive risk taking’ within a safe risk-assessed framework
  • Ensuring records are maintained accurately and stored within GDPR guidelines.
  • Working with external and service providers to ensure an efficient support system.

You will have/be

  • NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care would be preferable.
  • Confident working nights.
  • Previous experience working with children and young people, with an empathetic approach and ability to work with young people with challenging behaviour and complex emotional needs.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to remain calm in a pressured situation.
  • Good organisational skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office platforms.
  • The ability to work flexibly, resilient, determined and confident.
